Another excellent work by Scott Schober

As an IT security professional, we don’t often get to trade information with others in the field, much less the general public. Even when we do, there can be constraints on what we can talk about, who was involved, etc. And that’s just among ourselves – when it comes to talking in public format, most of us keep a very low profile intentionally to not expose our clients or make targets out of ourselves. Scott puts himself in the line of fire quite fearlessly, and has had to pay the price for doing so on occasion, but never has let that deter him from sharing excellent information and insight. More importantly than just detailing specific vulnerabilities, this book will teach you in several ways how to think differently about your security and, in doing so, make you more proactive. The mix of general tactics, specific events and types of events, and what to expect in the future is very helpful for professionals and even more helpful for the average, everyday person who has likely never considered many of the topics covered. I do this kind of work all day, every day, and still get a lot of new info out of Scott’s books. Be sure to check out his previous book Hacked Again as well.
